Most Needed Items: Shave cream, deodorant, instant coffee, towels, mac n cheese cups, playing cards, phone chargers/cords, water bottles (nalgene-like), microwave popcorn, protein shakes, $10 fast food or dominos gift cards, Uber gift cards. Volunteers spend the day light cleaning, making beds, and staging welcome home gifts & messages. Operation Rack Pack Mission: Prepare a hero's welcome home for young, single service members returning from deployment to barracks. We welcome home young, single service members. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER non-profit organization dedicated to our military heroes and those they love. In addition, THANK YOU to ALL of our Supporters who made the following possible through Operation Christmas Spirit 2022: We've sponsored a mother's day tea for a deployed unit, sponsored the catering for 2 different barracks bashes, provided supplies for a midway party and more. We have provided 1000+ prizes and games for a regimental carnival event. We have provided financial support for an OIF I, II and II 20 year reunion event for vets and active duty (over 500 service members attending) Operation Enduring Support has provided crisis assistance for 14 families. Operation Rack Pack (barracks project) has welcomed home 1267 service members on 3 bases with upcoming events serving another 2600 service members on 4 different bases this spring alone. We have provided unit specific support or hosted events for 13 military units on 3 bases. OHH Baby Showers and additional baby baskets have served 41 new and expecting mothers.
RECENT MISSIONS COMPLETED (1st Quarter of 2023): Only registered and base vetted volunteers can participate in projects on military installations. ** Please note that OHH does not plan projects on or post return dates out of respect for families and for the safety of those we serve.
